Purple Peony started as the dream of a young florist who liked working in a flower shop but LOVED working on weddings.
At a young age Kasandra would often visit weddings with her grandmother in the small town where she lived (often uninvited!!) to catch a glimpse of the bride and to check out the centerpieces. After seeing a huge tent wedding thrown for the daughter of one of the local celebrities she was hooked and a wedding groupie was born.
Kasandra grew up, got married herself and became a florist. Once it was time to start a family Kasandra knew she couldn't give up her dream Job so Purple Peony was created. In the first few seasons Kasandra's kitchen served as the design studio and her living room was the consultation space. Word of mouth got her just enough clients to keep her busy and growth was steady but not overwhelming.
Now in its third year of operations Purple Peony has gone though some exciting changes. Kasandra's home now has a proper design studio and consultation space that can highlight past work and rental items available and even better, doesn't have to be cleaned up at dinner time. Her younger sister Liz has also joined her as partner and handles the administrative and organizational duties. Business is booming and some key dates for the 2012 season have been booked up and it's not even Thanksgiving!
The sister team of Purple Peony bring professionalism, artistic talent and hard work together to work with their brides in achieving the look they want for their wedding day. As an alternative to a retail florist, Purple Peony is able to devote complete attention to each of their brides and can guarantee outstanding results by limiting the number of events they book each weekend. They feel extremely fortunate and privileged to be on hand during your once in a lifetime celebrations. Beyond weddings the girls can also design the floral component to your corporate event, baby and bridal showers, anniversary parties and just about any celebration you can think of.
